Manuel de Gerrit, the giant, and Big Manuel, that John Selis had inflicted a severe wound on Little Manuel's cow, and that old John had driven a number of cows and horses into the swamp (on the Manhattans). Fiscal vs. old John Selis, for driving cattle into the swamp, and wounding a cow; defendant to pay damages, also a fine of 25 guilders and costs, and forbidden to repeat the offense on pain of banishment. Fiscal vs. Borger Joris, for payment of duties; judgment for plaintiff, and defendant ordered to make a return of all he carried to the North and brought thence since he began to trade. [1643]
