Description

Court proceedings. Cornelis Teunissen vs. Cornelis Mauritsen, for the payment of a house; decision of arbitrators affirmed, and the money to remain in Mr. Wilcox's hands until defendant be paid. Jan Damen vs. John Wilcox, on a contract to receive merchantable beavers at market price, for 100 guilders, loose wampum; ordered that plaintiff retain his money until Wilcox obtain his beavers, when he must pay. William Goulder vs. Thomas Gridy; defendant to pay 20 guilders, for having suffered three defaults. [1646];Interrogatories being produced by rev. Everardus Bogardus, which he requires Jacob Wolphertsen and Hendrik Kip to answer, they are ordered to answer next Tuesday, yea or nay. [1646];Court proceedings. Hans Tymensen vs. Jan Snediger, slander, having called plaintiff a branded thief; defendant declares that he knows nothing of plaintiff but what is good and honorable, and says he did not mean to apply those words to him. Fiscal vs. Borger Jorisen, slander; defendant acknowledges his fault, begs the fiscal's pardon, and promises not to repeat the offense. [1646]
