Description

Sentence. Jean Seno de St. Germain, a soldier, for carrying off wampum and other articles under seizure, from the house of Michel Picquet, who broke jail and ran off, to acknowledge his fault, beg pardon of God and the court, and to work six weeks at the fort, as soon as he is restored to health. [1647] (page 300);Ordinance. Against exporting furs or other goods, on which the duties have not been paid, and directing the proper entry of all imported merchandises, and payment of duty thereon, before offering them for sale; obliging merchants to exhibit their books and accounts, when called on so to do, and providing that all furs be stamped before exportation.
