Description

Resolution to construct a redoubt on Staten island, for the protection of the inhabitants there. [1641];Court proceedings. Fiscal vs. Jan Symonson, late skipper of the yacht Reael, and his gunner, for having, whilst drunk, discharged a shotted cannon after the sentries were posted; remanded to prison in irons. Fiscal vs. Pierre Pia and David Clement, for fighting; case continued. Bentje vs. Symon Dircksen Pos, for debt; the matter having been left to defendant's oath, he swore that he was not indebted to plaintiff; judgment for defendant. [1641];Court proceedings. Fiscal vs. skipper Symonsen and his gunner, supra; defendants ordered to settle with the fiscal. The same vs. Pia and Clement, supra; defendants ordered to satisfy the fiscal. [1641];Ordinance. Establishing an annual fair at New Amsterdam, on the 15th October for cattle, and on the 1st Nov. for hogs. [1641]
