A satisfaction of debt executed by Wampage II (Ann Hook), Woavatapus, and Porrige, to "Richard Shute, John Drake and Henry Fowler in the behalfe of the rest of the inhabitants of Eastchester", dated December 23, 1700, acknowledged before a Justice of the Peace on May 21, 1701, and recorded with the County Clerk of Westchester County on April 1, 1702. This document involved land between the Bronx and Hutchinson rivers. A Sachem named Gramatau is listed as a witness.
The 1666 land purchase (to which the satisfaction of debt refers), are not recorded until the the Westchester County land records which start in 1684 (the county was established in 1683). More research may lead to earlier land records for that area.
